Molecular Structure
Much of the molecular structure of D-Glucose was developed by Emil Fischer. The structural formula of D-Glucose is C6H12O6. D-Glucose can exist in an open-chain form as well as cyclic forms,In the following sections the Lewis structure, VSEPR classification, proper bonding angles, and a three dimensional model of glucose will be shown and explained.
